There’s something magical about turning small plastic toys into galaxy-sized adventures. That’s exactly what makes creating these fan art photography so much fun. With a little imagination (and a bit of clever editing), a desk, some flour and other small accessories can become a galaxy far, far away.
Inspired by the legendary universe of Star Wars, I set out to create funny, quirky, and sometimes surprisingly serious battle scenes using a mix of classic and modern collectibles and the results were epic.

The Stars of the Show
A towering Hasbro AT-AT walker
A Micro Machines Snowspeeder
A squad of brave LEGO mini figs
The AT-AT from Hasbro brings instant drama. Even as a toy, it has presence. Position it low and shoot upward, and suddenly it feels enormous. Add a little fake snow (flour works wonders) and you’ve got yourself a mini Battle of Hoth.
The tiny Micro Machines Snowspeeder adds motion and energy. By angling it mid-flight or suspending it with fishing wire, you can recreate the classic Snow Speeder wrapping the wire around the AT-AT legs.
And then there are the mini figs from LEGO. Their expressions might be simple, but that’s where creativity comes in. Inspired by a t-shirt design the Mini fig Snow Tropper taking the AT-AT for a walk. Funny, quirky.
By controlling:
Light direction (natural side light works beautifully)
Camera angle (shoot low for power, high for vulnerability)
Depth of field (blur the background for scale illusion)
You can completely change the mood of the same toys in the same space.
Lastly using Adobe Photoshop to bring all of it together.
