A Tribute to a Cinematic Classic

Directed by Steven Spielberg, Jaws (1975) redefined the thriller genre and became one of the first true summer blockbusters. The film’s unforgettable showdown between man and shark made characters like Chief Brody, Hooper, and especially Quint pop culture icons.

In 2001, McFarlane Toys released this deluxe set as part of their hugely popular Movie Maniacs line known for hyper-detailed horror and movie-inspired figures. The diorama is a dramatic capturing the famous scene where the Orca’s bows under attack from the great white shark, with split-in-two Quint figure mid-mauling.

What’s Included in the Deluxe Box Set?

This wasn’t your typical blister-pack action figure. The deluxe box set featured:

  • A massive, highly detailed Great White Shark

  • A sculpted figure of Quint, complete with fishing gear

  • A detailed section of the Orca boat deck

  • Realistic water effects and battle damage detailing

  • Scene-inspired pose and display setup

The attention to detail is what truly makes it special. The shark’s textured skin, Quint’s weathered expression, and the boat’s distressed wood deck all combine to recreate that heart-pounding moment from the film.

It’s less of a toy and more of a horror collectors art piece.

Packaging & Presentation

Collectors know packaging matters. This box set came in a large window display box, allowing fans to admire the entire diorama without even opening it. For mint-in-box collectors, this was gold.

The artwork and branding tied seamlessly into the Movie Maniacs aesthetic dark, dramatic, and bold.
