There’s something electric about walking into a space filled with machines that once lived only on cinema screens. At the Melbourne Motoshow 2026, that feeling hit instantly—like stepping into a time capsule powered by nostalgia, adrenaline, and a love for storytelling on four wheels.
The lights shimmered off polished chrome and flawless paintwork, and suddenly, I wasn’t just in Melbourne anymore—I was in the middle of a high-speed chase, a street race, a cinematic moment frozen in time.

Fast and the Furious Cars Front and centre stood legends from the Fast and the Furious franchise. For the full series of photos, watch the video below.
The raw muscle of the 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS exuded old-school power.

The sleek and iconic 1999 Nissan Skyline GT-R R-34 seemed ready to roar to life, echoing Brian O’Conner’s legacy.

The 1993 Toyota Supra MK IV, forever linked to Paul Walker, carried an emotional weight beyond its curves and horsepower. It was a symbol of a story that continues to resonate with fans.

And then there was the 1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse—bold, vibrant, and unmistakably a piece of early Fast & Furious culture. Together, these cars weren’t just displays… they were memories. They were moments we had all lived, one way or another, through the screen.

For many fans, including myself, the absence of the 1970 Dodge Charger was impossible to ignore. That car—dark, aggressive, and iconic—was more than just a vehicle. It was Dom’s presence, his identity, his power. Not seeing one of the most iconic cars from the Franchise was
very disappointing.

Back to the Future Replica
Then a completely different kind of magic awaited—something less about speed, and more about time itself. The Back to the Future display stood like a portal to another world. And there it was—the DeLorean.
The replica of the DeLorean Time Machine gleamed under the lights, instantly transporting everyone back to the adventures of Marty McFly and Doc Brown. Surrounding it were the details that made the story feel real—the time circuits, the hoverboard, the iconic number plate, and even a replica plutonium case.
