Built in 1979 – Still Holding Strong
The owner carefully assembled this MPC kit the year it was released. Considering it has spent over 40 years stored in a garage, the condition is nothing short of impressive.
Structure remains solid
Paintwork has held up beautifully
Details still sharp and recognisable
Of course, time takes its toll. A few parts were either loose, missing, or slightly broken — but with a steady hand and a bit of glue, we were able to carefully restore and reattach what was needed.
Notable Features That Make This Classic Shine
What makes the MPC Millennium Falcon 1979 so special isn’t just its age, it’s the craftsmanship and moving features that made it such an exciting build at the time.
Rotating Satellite Dish
One of the most recognisable features of the Falcon, the top-mounted dish still rotates a fantastic detail that brings the model to life.
Undercarriage Entry Ramp
Yes, the iconic ramp is there! The undercarriage entry section remains functional, adding an extra layer of authenticity to this already impressive piece.
For a model kit from the late ’70s, these features were a big deal and they still hold up today.
