My first movie replica was the Yellow 1932 Deuce Coupe from American Graffiti, produced by Franklin Mint. Then came a 1:64 original issue A-Team Van from ERTL. After building my confidence using the online auction site 95% of my purchases arise from eBay. I find eBay is sometimes cheaper that buying retail even after delivery cost is added. After purchasing a few replicas, I couldn't’t stop I am hooked. At first I started collecting diecast metal cars and then I moved onto other forms of Vehicles such as planes, boats and spacecrafts licensed movie replicas. Now my collection includes diecast and plastic replicas of any scale from the movies & TV. As my interest peeked I started to research into past Movie and TV replicas, but unfortunately there wasn't many resource available online. So spawned MovieRepliCars.net and the term “replicars”, I want to create a one-stop resources site for collectors with images, articles, news, event details and details of Movie or TV replicars. I also want to create a comprehensive database of every Movie and TV replica ever produced. Collectors are invited to add any articles, images of their collection or any replicas I may have missed in the database. Checkout my collection Under 'My Collection' section on the right. Click on a image for full showcase. Please note that the content on this site is for entertainment purposes, I have tried to be as accurate as possible. If you find an inaccuracies do not hesitate to contact me on the email below. If you have any questions, you an email me at ewan@moviereplicars.net. Please note the replicars you see on here are not for sale, unless otherwise stated. This is simply a database. |
